The 17th International Biology Olympiad was held in Rio Cuarto, Argentina. Our team brought home 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals, and secured Singapore as overall 5th among 49 participating countries this year. Congratulations to the team, Huang Kee Wui, Alfred Seng, Tay Rong En & Justin Wee, as well as a big thank you to the dedicated trainers from NUS and NIE/NTU.

Good news for all SIBiol members! Those who wish to attend the talk by Jack Horner ("Jurassic Park - Fact and Fiction", see Activities section on this website for details) on Sunday 11 June 2006, can get FREE ENTRY to the Dinosaurs! Exhibition at the Singapore Science Centre on that day..

As a treat for our members, discount tickets will be given to each member (one ticket per member, for a 20% discount on entry for up to 5 persons) to "DINOSAURS! A T rex named Sue and Friends", the dinosaur exhibition on at the Singapore Science Centre from 21 May to 20 Aug 2006.
